We're excited to introduce you to the all-new checkout experience for your standalone website and the Zibbet marketplace. It's faster, better looking and more powerful than ever before.
Let's walk-through some of the key improvements...
You can now accept credit cards
We've teamed up with Stripe to enable you to accept credit cards and debit cards seamlessly within the checkout process.
When you get paid, funds are automatically deposited into your bank account.
Accepting credit cards using Stripe isn't mandatory, although we highly recommend it. Getting started is easy and free and will likely increase your checkout completion conversion rates.

Note: for now, you will still be required to accept PayPal as a payment method. Having this consistency across all sellers enables us to keep allowing shoppers to checkout from multiple sellers at the same time in the Zibbet marketplace.
Lets have a walk-through of each of the new checkout steps. All steps are on the one page, making it faster to checkout and a better overall user experience. It also looks great on mobile and tablet devices!
We ask for the buyers contact information right away. This allows us to capture their name and most importantly, a contact email address. In a few short weeks we're going to start sending cart abandonment emails to shoppers that start the checkout process and then fail to complete the order. Stats show that an average of 69.23% of people will abandon the checkout process. A cart abandonment email that encourages them to complete their purchase is an effective and proven way of increasing sales. We'll test this in the Zibbet marketplace, then enable you to add this to your website too.
Notice that you can see what information you entered on the previous step, and you can easily "edit" it at any time. There's no need to return to the previous page or wonder if you entered something correctly or not. This keeps their confidence high as they move through each step.
On the Zibbet marketplace, we have shoppers that are members of Zibbet. If they have saved shipping addresses on file, we'll show them here so they can easily select where the order should be sent to. It looks like this:
Once you connect Stripe to your store, you'll see "Credit card" as a payment option, in addition to PayPal.
If PayPal is selected they'll be informed that they'll be taken to PayPal to complete the purchase. It looks like this:
Once the purchase is completed, your buyer will arrive on this thank you page. It contains a complete summary of their order and they'll receive a purchase confirmation email, as per normal.

To see the credit card payment option, head to the Zibbet Merch website, as we have Stripe connected up and ready to go. To get yours set up, head to the Payment Methods page in your admin panel and click the "Connect Stripe" button to get started. As we've said, we highly recommend you do this and it only takes 5 minutes to complete!
